Whatever did this was huge and ruthless. And that’s not all! Tech is useless here. Our GPS, radio, watches...none of them work. BUT weirder...even the map is wrong- it’s like the forest is alive and shifting around us. We have to get out of here!

We ran with only the essentials. I’m writing this journal as a last resort, in case we don’t make it. Maybe someone will find it and learn from our mistakes.

AWRY - The Forest is a pocket-sized horror card game for 1 to 4 players.

The goal is to escape the forest. Your individual progress is represented by Forest cards. The artwork on these cards connects seamlessly to present the path of your escape.

Each round is divided into three phases: Dawn, Day, and Dusk. The Exploration deck has nine types of card: Navigation, Shelter, Provisions, Threat, Stress, Junk, Weapon, Cursed, and Illumination. What will you encounter?

During each round, it is crucial to obtain Shelter and Provisions any way you can. Players lose a Life Token for each if they do not spend those cards during the Dusk phase. Spend Navigation cards to draw from the Forest deck during the Dusk phases. This is how you obtain Forest cards. But beware... evil lurks within.
