Highly detailed, but annoying to work with

I really can't complain about the level of detail in these kits. They're crisp and clear, and the skeletons' ribcages (where visible) even have the floating ribs, which is fantastic attention to detail. But, this particular kit is marred by a few issues.

The soft resin used by Modiphius strikes again, leaving every single weapon warped and bent. I should be able to straighten them out with a blow dryer like I have other kits, but it's annoying to have it happen on every model.

The other issue is the thickness of the limbs. Since the TES kits here are more realistic proportions than the "heroic scale" used by certain other companies, that means thinner limbs and smaller heads. Which also means smaller contact areas to glue these models together. It's especially bad with these skeletons, as some of these arms have join spots less than 2mm x 2mm in size! I have a slight shake in my hands, and it was dang near impossible to get some of these arms together. I'm also baffled two of the three axe skeletons weren't just one piece with the weapon and arms, and instead each arm was separate.

Finally, there were no assembly instructions included. Not too huge of a deal, I've been in this hobby since 2002, so I'm pretty good at intuiting where stuff goes, but sometimes it's really hard to tell what's just a resin nub from the mold and what's actually part of the model.

Aside from that, these should make a great addition to my games.

Extremely happy purchase

These models are fantastic.
The sculpts just feel ripped straight out of the game, and the extra touch of having them on scenic bases is an effort that really drives home that Skyrim feel.
The resin is amazing, compared to citadel finecast it appears more detailed to my eye and is infinitely more pleasurable to work with. I find far, far less miscasts, warping or bubbles than I have with the similarly priced Games Workshop resin. It’s got a nice firmness to it that doesn’t feel quite as brittle as you sometimes get in resin models, not that I’m suggesting bending parts at all 😅
I bought the starter set when it first came out and was surprised at how high quality everything was, since then I have been a big Modiphius convert over my old Warhammer hobby. The quality in their releases has not dipped once in the period since they released the starter set, and I will be buying every new release because I could not be more satisfied with the purchases I have made of these Skyrim figures, and also the fallout ones.
I’m having to copy this review across the call to arms purchases I’ve made, but it is a fair representation of each and every product.
