    Dune RPG

I’m glad I bought the pdf version. This allowed me to look at the content without spending too much. The artwork is phenomenal and the attention to detail is stellar; which is great if you know nothing about Dune and have never played any RPGs or read any of the books in the series. The first 3 Chapters are devoted to that end. Character creation starts in Ch4 and is very well done. It goes through all 8 steps necessary to create a character and begin playing. Ch5 is devoted to rules, Ch6 conflict, Ch7 assets what they are and how to use them. Ch8 is on gamemastering,. Ch9 describes Allie’s & adversaries and Ch10 wraps it up with starting adventure. The book is very good about portraying the galactic scale and has ample character , NPCs and Archetypes available. The book is pricey because of the number of pages and the quality of artwork. I wish they offered a print friendly version like they did for Star Trek Adventures as that would help using less ink. I’m satisfied with it but noticed that it was offered for less $ on Drive Thru RPG, same with the Gamemasters toolkit it was a$3 difference.
The book goes into detail about conflict both open and hidden, giving info on Kanley and the War of Assassins. Also dueling, skirmish combat, tactics and politics. Chapter 8 and beyond are for the game master so spoilers if the player reads further. Very well done but can be boring if you’re a big fan. It was worth the sheckles but barely. Price point should have been $15 for the pdf.
