Though not as enormous as some more monstrous Mythos entities, the Teufelshunde—also known as void hounds, hounds of Hades, portal fiends, and more—are rightfully feared, especially among survivors of Germanic villages where they have stalked. They are no natural beasts, but denizens of the Dreamlands, though some believe they arose from the Underworld to hunt and slay the living. They shimmer and walk through walls, and are summoned by unholy rites. Once on a person’s trail, they rarely stop until they or their prey are slain.
