Fun but difficult.

So we have only started playing Star Trek Adventures recently and this was our first mission that did not hold your hand and teach you how to play (like Signals does and the 3 part mission with the starter set).

We had 3 players and I was the GM. We didn’t use a lot of social conflict rolls but rather just played the parts. It was a good story but the reveal of how it was done was a little complex and I don’t think it can be arrived at without a lot of guiding and hints from the GM.

The hardest part honestly were the ridiculous names. The team was so confused on who was who, even with notes, just due to the names of the characters.

We still enjoyed it and maybe a second time with a different group I can try to plan out more social conflicts that involve rolling the dice.

I would still recommend it. We are going to try for our next mission: A Forest Apart.
