TELL YOUR STORY

Terry Pratchett’s Discworld tabletop roleplaying game catapults you onto the legendary Discworld itself! Once you’ve dusted yourself off, get ready for some chaotic, pun-filled hijinks across Ankh-Morpork and beyond!8

SAVE THE STUDENTS

In Readers Digested, you play Assistant Librarians tasked with restoring order during reading week; rescuing students, dealing with carnivorous books, and navigating the mind-bending L-Space. You know, the usual.

FAIL WITH STYLE

In Kill Sam Vimes, you play Assassin Guild apprentices tasked with… uh… well, killing Sam Vimes. Of course, you won’t actually kill Sam Vimes. You just have to get close enough… and look damn good doing it!

Based on the popular Discworld fantasy series by Sir Terry Pratchett, the official Discworld tabletop roleplaying game invites you to tell stories filled with Sir Terry's iconic wit, humour, and humanistic satire, where heroism, bureaucracy, and improbable coincidence collide with remarkable regularity!

‘OOK’ FOR BEGINNERS

Never played a roleplaying game? The Discworld roleplaying game is dead easy. Start by picking a Trait to justify your chance of success. Based on your – let’s face it - tenuous reasoning and torturous wordplay, the GM decides which Outcome Die you’ll be rolling against their Narrativium Die. If you roll higher than the GM, you’re successful! Yay! ‘Grats! Etc. However, if the Narrativium Die is higher, you’re in trouble. Remember: Stories shape people, not the other way around.*

Adventures in Ankh-Morpork contains all the rules you need to start running adventures in one of fantasy’s most beloved settings!

*Most often, that shape is a bloody smear across the Ankh.

**or both.

Reading Week has arrived, and it’s the most terrifying time in the Unseen University calendar! Panicked wizards-in-training have stormed the Library in a last-minute frenzy of panic-studying, and naturally, everything has gone horribly wrong! Shelves are empty, rogue tomes are on the prowl, carnivorous books are hunting in packs,* and the students themselves are… ah, well… being students.

Readers Digested is a madcap game for 2-4 players (with additional solo rules in the deluxe version) based on Reiner Knizia’s tabletop classic, Blue Moon City. As Assistant Librarians, you’ll wrangle wayward books and ensure that those wandering trouble-magnets** get to their exams on time!

*Should it be stacks?

**To be clear, we’re talking about the students, but acknowledge some books have been known to attract trouble too.

Sir Samuel Vimes, Duke of Ankh and Commander of the City Watch, is officially too important to assassinate. Eliminating him would cause more trouble than it’s worth.* Naturally, this makes him the perfect target practice…

Each year, the Assassins’ Guild sends its most promising apprentices into the streets of Ankh-Morpork to attempt the impossible: get close enough to Kill Sam Vimes!

In this competitive strategy game for 2-6 players, you’ll each take control of a House of apprentice assassins. Manoeuvre your execrable entry-level executioners through the city, avoid Vimes’ diabolical traps,** and outscore your rivals before your House is wiped out! You can’t kill Sam Vimes, but you can look spectacular doing it!

*There’s also the small wrinkle that he’s really very hard to kill.

**Many involving manure. Some people muse that Sir Vimes’ choice to use animal excreta in his traps is a wry satirical slight of the Assassin’s Guild’s free-marketization of murder and the inherent class inequality from their divisive education system. Others still suggest that the first bunch of people should shut up and accept poo is kinda funny.
