The missing star has nothing to do with the quality of these dice. They're good, solid rollers. It has everything to do with them being plain and difficult to read. The difficulty comes from black numbering on dark dice. The plainness comes from them not being closer to the original style, which had a bunch of stars and other embellishments on them. I'm honestly kicking myself for waiting so long to round out my collection, because now I'm stuck with stylish, sexy Science and Ops dice, and my Command dice are just..... red.

D6s are good but D20s are hard to read.

The D20s here are consistent in size between the 2 dice, which my Klingon set is not. However, you can see in the photos here that the red is dark with a little translucency to it. This translucency allows the numbers to bleed a little visually, making them look muddy and not sharp. Combine this with using black on an already dark surface and it's very hard to read on the table. The black D6s are easy to read and are not busy like the old style. If you buy these Division sets, I'd go with the gold/yellow version as the D20s look more readable in that set. Right now I prefer my Klingon D20s as they are more opaque and easier to read (white numbers on dark background), despite their size differences.
