John Houlihan, who has taken editorial duties for the compilation says, “We’ve secured some amazing and supremely talented writers for Dark Tales and it’s been intriguing to see how each has taken the fascinating Achtung! Cthulhu universe and made it their own. I can promise a set of strange, horrific and savage stories to tease and tantalise horror and Cthulhu lovers and World War 2 fans alike. You should make an appointment to explore the shadowy world of the secret war later this year."
“Bringing our universe to life through fiction is one of the sure fire ways of introducing more people to the world of Achtung! Cthulhu”added Chris Birch, “and John has already lined up a highly creative group of writers who have put their own dark touches to the storyline!”
Achtung! Cthulhu is a terrifying World War Two gaming universe featuring a roleplaying setting for the popular Call of Cthulhu and Savage World games systems, boardgames, miniatures game and audio stories. Drawing on inspiration for its characters, worlds and creatures from HP Lovecraft’s Cthulhu mythos, Achtung! Cthulhu transplants them into the setting of mankind’s finest and darkest hour, the second World War. In short it’s ‘World War Two with tentacles!'
