Here we are in late July 2026! We’re in the middle of celebrating the 60th anniversary of all things Star Trek™ with a variety of Star Trek Adventures releases this year and more still to come. Star Trek: Starfleet Academy’s first season aired earlier this year, and the fourth season of Star Trek: Strange New Worlds is just now getting underway. Many licensees are announcing new products at a fast and furious pace. There’s a lot of Star Trek happening right now, so let’s also celebrate one other key milestone: Star Trek Adventures’ 10th anniversary!

Hard to believe it’s been 10 years since Modiphius announced acquiring the license to Star Trek roleplaying, with a plan to debut the core rulebook at GenCon 2017. Here’s the first image we released to promote the game:

It was a happy accident of timing that CBS Studios announced the development of Star Trek: Discovery in November 2016, so we announced the game knowing there was more new televised Star Trek on the way.

After the release of the core rulebook in August 2017, Star Trek: Discovery’s first episode aired in September 2017, and both the game and the many new Star Trek series rolled on from there. We released a steady stream of new books and products, including the division books, quadrant books, other supplements, gamemaster screens, dice sets, eight sets of miniatures, the Captain’s Log solo version of the game, dozens of digital-only releases, and much more.

At the same time, Star Trek fans enjoyed a steady diet of new series on screen, including Star Trek: Picard, Star Trek: Lower Decks, Star Trek: Prodigy, Star Trek: Strange New Worlds, and most recently, Star Trek: Starfleet Academy. Modiphius gradually added elements of each new series to the game, dropping in artwork, text references, and statistic blocks where possible.

And then, in 2024, Modiphius announced the second edition of the RPG. The second edition has enjoyed a steady release schedule of new supplements, including the Technical Manual, Exploration Guide, The 23rd Century Campaign Guide, the Species Sourcebook, and the Allies and Adversaries Sourcebook. And even after close to 200 different products across the two editions plus Captain’s Log, with more than a million words of content, there’s still more releases to come and areas of the franchise we have yet to tackle!

In those 10 years, I’ve had the joy of meeting thousands of gamers and fans at conventions and in online spaces, sharing the love of Star Trek and tabletop gaming through Star Trek Adventures. It’s been an amazing ride, and the sky is still the limit!

Thank you so much to all the fans who have supported the Star Trek universe over the years and all those who support Star Trek Adventures in its many incarnations. I hope the game has brought you lots of great experiences, and that it enhances your love of all things Star Trek.

When did you get into Star Trek Adventures? Have you been with us from the beginning, or did you get into the game later, perhaps with Captain’s Log or the second edition? What have been some of your most memorable game experiences with Star Trek Adventures? Share your experiences with your fellow Star Trek fans at the official Modiphius Discord.

Thanks for reading this article, and thank you for your interest and support of Star Trek Adventures! Keep frequencies open for news about other upcoming Star Trek Adventures product releases. Live long and prosper!
