Has it really been a year since Achtung! Cthulhu 2d20 made its debut? It has! What a year it’s been. After the Player’s Guide, Gamemaster’s Guide, GM Toolkit, Dice Sets and mighty Exarch edition made their debut, you might think we would have been content to rest on our laurels.
In truth, it was just the beginning and a steady stream of exciting missions and adventures, from Operation Vanguard to Operation Snowstorm, have been joined by the epic starter campaign Shadows of Atlantis and this month, the Mission Dossier Volume 1: Behind Enemy Lines.

Written by the estimable Meric Moir, it’s chock full of strange castles, weird science and the malevolent might of the Mi-Go and comes with a map and pre-gens to get started. It uses the free Quickstart rules, so all you need is some dice and friends to get going.

You should also prepare yourself because Achtung! Cthulhu’s Winter of Fear is coming and it’s going to be a blast!
It starts mid-October with the release of a FREE Halloween Horrors PDF featuring six classic monsters given a unique Achtung! Cthulhu twist. We want you to take them away, experiment and then report back with your own ideas for missions, scenarios, and ways to use these terrifying beasties on Halloween itself.
We’ll also be releasing the brand new Operation Fallen Star on the very same day, with players hopping aboard Norwegian spy ship the Njord’s Bounty, exploring an abandoned Black Sun base in the arctic circle, encountering a strange visitor and facing a crucial decision which could tilt the balance of the Secret War itself. Exciting stuff.
All roads then lead to the release of the epic campaign, the Forest of Fear! Plunge into the late-war and discover what lies underneath the real events of the Battle of the Bulge. As the Allies and Axis powers eye each on the borders of German, strange events grips this apparently forgotten sector.
The secret war erupts in a welter of gore, tentacles and tanks, with ancient godlings, shoggoth tanks, and an epic confrontation awaiting at the mountainous Blackbird’s Nest.
We’ll also have plenty more to reveal in the coming weeks, so keep your eyes on our Discord channel, awesome fan group and the main Modiphius Facebook page. Don’t forget, the Achtung! Cthulhu team will be at Dragonmeet in December too, so start making your plans accordingly.
