Here we are, fellow beings, at the end of another year, getting ready to welcome in 2026. This past year was a big one for Star Trek Adventures, as the second edition settled into post-launch and enjoyed a stream of releases in print and digital formats. Were you with us for the whole year? If not, let’s recap all of the amazing releases in 2025!

We started in January with the print release of the second edition Starter Set. The Starter Set is the ideal way to introduce yourself and your fellow players to the second edition ruleset with a cracking three-part campaign written by Meric Moir, Al Spader, and Michael Dismuke. The box comes with a rules booklet, the campaign booklet, a set of 5d20 dice in a lovely teal color, pre-generated character sheets, a whole bunch of reference cards, and a sheet of tokens.

In June, we released the Technical Manual, a tome full of information about the various gear and gadgets present throughout the Star Trek universe, as well as shipboard technologies and various forms of faster-than-light propulsion. The many random complication tables included in the book have proven to be fan favorites, helping players and gamemasters add fun elements to their games and campaigns.

October brought about the release of the Exploration Guide, which can be a group’s one-stop shop for all things related to building new space sectors, planetary systems, and planets. It includes nine different planetary biomes, such as forests, plains, and oceans. The book is packed full of random tables for generating plot hooks, complications, and other elements to help you create fully realized planets and regions for your crew to explore.

And in late October, The 23rd Century Campaign Guide went up for preorder, with an expected release date of January 2026. This book, focused on the dynamic 23rd century, details many key events from this period, providing a wealth of information for gamemasters and players who want to set an adventure or campaign anywhere from 2200–2299. The advice in the book was designed to help you create characters and stories that fit the various tones and styles present throughout the century, touching on what we saw on screen in Star Trek: Discovery, Star Trek: Strange New Worlds, the original Star Trek series, Star Trek: The Animated Series, and the first six motion pictures (plus the opening bit from Star Trek Generations).

In addition to our print + digital offerings, we released three new mission brief packs in digital format, with an updated look and feel to match the second edition design aesthetic. I took the opportunity to develop a refreshed approach to the mission briefs, adjusting the content so each pack offers a few pages on a specific topic and 8–10 mission briefs connected to that topic. All of the mission brief packs are available for free on the Star Trek Adventures downloads page.

The three briefs pack released this year includes:

  • DEPARTMENT OF TEMPORAL INVESTIGATIONS: Released in May and written by Meric Moir, this pack provides information and mission briefs centered on time travel and the Federation’s Department of Temporal Investigations, first introduced in Star Trek: Deep Space Nine and featured in other series as well.
  • JUDGE ADVOCATE GENERAL’S OFFICE: Released in September and written by Cory Belote, this pack provides information on Starfleet’s JAG Office and offers mission briefs involving the JAG Office or JAG representatives. If you and your crew are interested in adding legal proceedings to your adventures and campaigns, this one is worth checking out.
  • FIVE-YEAR MISSIONS: Released in December and written by Marco Rafalà, this pack presented information on Starfleet’s five-year mission program and mission briefs focused on a wide variety of new lives and new civilizations a crew might encounter while their vessel embarks upon a five-year mission.
