Hello, Commander.
We’d like to thank you, the community, for the extraordinary success of XCOM: The Miniatures Game over the last couple of weeks. We never imagined how many people would eagerly climb on board, and we’re excited about the possibilities as the line progresses.
To celebrate, we’ve got a few bits of exciting news to share.
More Aliens. No Extra Cost.
We’ve heard your concerns over the last two weeks. Due to the success of XCOM: The Miniatures Game, we’re happy to announce that we are upgrading both The Getting Started Bundle and The All-In Bundle with additional Alien box sets at no cost.
If you have already preordered the above-mentioned bundles, or intend to before 1st January 2027, you will automatically receive the additional Alien sets when they become available.
Getting Started Bundles Add Aliens Set 2.
You get the Aliens Set 2 in your Getting Started bundle for free. That’s 6 more Aliens for a total of 20 resin or Hard Plastic miniatures. That’s roughly £35 (for HIPS) or £45 (for Resin) of extra value, which works out to around $50 or $60 USD of extra miniatures.
Here’s what you now get in the Getting Started Bundle:
- XCOM Operatives
- Aliens Set 1
- Aliens Set 2
- Ghost Sniper Pre-Order Promo Model
- 280-page Hardback Rulebook and token sheets
All-In Bundles Get Double The Aliens!
We’re adding an extra Alien Set 1 and Alien Set 2 to your All-In Bundle! That’s 14 more miniatures for a total of 34, adding around £65 (HIPS) or £80 (Resin) of value to the All-In Bundle. That works out to around $90 or $115 USD of extra miniatures.
Here’s what you now get in the All-In Bundle:
- XCOM Operatives
- 2 x Aliens Set 1
- 2 x Aliens Set 2
- Ghost Sniper Pre-Order Promo Model
- 280-page Hardback Rulebook and token sheets
- Dice Set
- Reference Card Deck
- 132 Acrylic Token Upgrade Set
This Means War!

While you’ll have ample opportunity to blast those extra aliens in the standard game, designer Ivan Sorensen is currently working on a guide for running extra-large games.
The guide will offer advice on combining two XCOM squads to take on a much larger alien invasion. The new mode will work in both solo and co-op modes.
Stay tuned for more news as the situation develops.
Retail Reinforcements
The XCOM: The Miniatures Game rulebook contains the complete rules for the Enemy Unknown/Enemy Within era, including all rules for the entire planned miniatures range, as well as two sheets of die-cut tokens.
While resin preorders ship in November and HIPS preorders ship in January, many are asking when XCOM: The Miniatures Game will be landing at your local friendly gaming store.
Below is a tactical roadmap for web and retail reinforcements, providing all the aliens, operative upgrades, support equipment (S.H.I.V.s!), and advanced technologies (MEC Troopers) we have planned. Remember: The core rulebook already supports every unreleased model, so you’ll be ready to play as soon as their boots (or tentacles) hit the ground!
This plan starts in February 2027, when the range hits retail. We’re also working on other terrain sets to add more XCOM theming to your table. We’ll be talking about that in later updates.
If you haven’t preordered through the webstore, this is when you should expect to see things in your FLGS:
