The new Allies and Adversaries Sourcebook for Star Trek™ Adventures is another versatile product that can be used with the many other books in the game line, including first and second edition and the Captain’s Log solo RPG. How? Here are a few ideas:

  • CAMPAIGNS: The various campaigns written for the game, including the Shackleton Expanse campaign, the first edition living campaign, the Federation-Klingon War tactical campaign, and the mini-campaigns contained in various supplements can be updated and enhanced with the contents of the Allies and Adversaries Sourcebook. For example, you could move the entire Shackleton Expanse campaign to the 32nd century post-Burn, and replace any of the 23rd and 24th century stat blocks with other era-appropriate NPCs. Have a Qowat Milat representative on Narendra Station, or have the Expanse threatened by the Venari Ral or Emerald Chain!
  • CAPTAIN’S LOG: The random tables contained in the Allies and Adversaries Sourcebook can be combined with those in the Captain’s Log solo RPG to add more options for populating your encounters and scenes. The two plot hook generators also complement the many tables contained in the solo RPG as well. In addition, these random tables can be used in your first or second edition campaigns to generate more story ideas on the fly.
  • STANDALONE ADVENTURES: The NPCs contained in the many published standalone adventures and mini-campaigns created for first and second edition can likewise be updated using the content of the Allies and Adversaries Sourcebook as inspiration. Perhaps you want to change up the adversaries contained in a first edition adventure; swapping out Orions for Nausicaans, for example, might change up the stakes and breathe new life into your storytelling possibilities.
  • THE QUADRANT BOOKS: Use the four quadrant books (and the free conversion documents available for each) along with the Allies and Adversaries Sourcebook to create interesting and challenging encounters for your crew, no matter where and when your campaign or mission is set. Want to throw a mixed band of Kazon and Furies at your player characters surveying the Delta Quadrant? Go for it!
