Dragonmeet was an absolute blast earlier this month. It was so great to see everyone in real life again after the couple of years we’ve had, and as part of a busy conference schedule, we decided to unveil what’s happening with Achtung! Cthulhu 2d20 next year and beyond.
We’ve been really pleased with the reception the game’s got from both critics and players and we wanted to show you that this year’s launch is just the beginning, and there’s plenty more to come for one of our favourite gaming lines.
In the bigger picture, we’re intending to have two main strands, an early war arc which begins with the pre-war Shadows of Atlantis next year, and runs right through to what many consider the turning point of the war, Stalingrad. This should give a nice sense of continuity for players new to the line, as well as experienced players who want to start characters from scratch.
The late war arc will begin at D-Day and encompass the Battle of the Bulge (Forest of Fear in 2022), the push into Germany and the ultimate conclusion to Achtung! Cthulhu 2d20 at the Siege of Fenrir’s Seat. But don’t worry, in between there’ll be plenty of our very popular one-off Missions, as well as diversions, source books, new accessories and much more for you to enjoy.
