A new twist on an old favorite

Still waiting on the physical copy, but as soon as I ordered, I burst open the .pdf and guzzled down the content.

It soon became clear that while there was a core I was familiar with, the Robots of Mechatron-7 were an entirely different metaphorical animal than the Mutants of The Zone or the Animals of Paradise Valley. Both more advanced yet strangely backwards, I found myself relearning with new shifts in the rules for building characters, abilities and more mixed with excitement of the fresh new possibilities of the differences. The idea of characters who can essentially upgrade themselves, who function so differently than anything of flesh and blood, both for better AND worse, adds just another layer to a game I already adore.

I've not yet spoiled myself on the origins of Mechatron-7, as I hold out a tender, throbbing hope that someone else in my group may be willing to run the setting and give me a turn to play on the other side of the screen.
