Description

In this case note for the Liminal RPG, the crew are taken on by a prominent magician in the Council of Merlin to track down his missing son. Naturally, things are more complicated than they seem. There is the question as to why someone in the arrogant Council of Merlin needs people involved who do not belong to the organisation. It turns out that getting involved with werewolves is the easy part of the case.

Join us in this case note for the Liminal RPG, where the magical and mundane worlds collide in the modern day United Kingdom.

Prodigal Son

This was the third scenario I ran, this time for two different groups, and on both occasions, they ran similarly with the privileged son returned to the bosom of the family home. A man on a mission, and with a point to prove, his father, an ailing member of the Council of Merlin, and known to one of the PC's in one crew, recruits the PC's to persuade him back towards his family.

It will take a large amount of diplomacy as well as fending of another interested faction who seek the location of the same artefact that the prodigal son does. There is more potential combat here than the other scenarios I've run so far but the lethality of it shouldn't be too great as long as wholesale warfare is not sought by continual aggression. It is intended that some protagonists survive as there is a sequel case to this.

Might need a bit of a re-write if things go south....
