A Word About Plastic Production…
Hi, wastelanders! Samantha here, I’m the brand manager for our Fallout products (if you’ve not seen me on stream or lurking in the Discord channels before). In our last State of the Wasteland stream, I went into more detail about our new plastic core sets—like the Raiders we just released and the Brotherhood of Steel core set that’s on pre-order right now—and how pre-production is taking longer than we thought. We’re working incredibly hard to ensure these new hard plastic sets are the best quality they can be. That’s all the stuff like ensuring there are no sink holes, gates all round the frame are working well, and the parts are all the sharpest they can be while being easy to assemble.
I’m pleased to say we’ve just approved the Survivors hard plastic core set, so that set will be pre-ordering in September, and fulfilled in Q4. Unfortunately, the manufacturer we were working with on the Super Mutants plastic core set has not been able to deliver that quality, and so we’ve had to move the pre-production to someone else. We’re hoping that pre-production for the Super Mutants with another manufacturing partner will be much quicker, and I’m hoping we can still produce and release this miniatures set this year, but I can’t give you a release date until we know more.
I wanted to be transparent with you all, so you can appreciate what’s going on, and you know what to expect. No one more than us wants to get you these miniatures, but we’ve not been able to get them to the quality we’re all looking for.
I’m sorry about this further delay to this specific set. I hope you’ll understand, and bear with us, and thanks again for your patience up to now! We’ll let you know how we’re getting on and when to expect pre-orders and their release date when we’re sure, but for now they don’t have a release date.
