What up, cool, scrappy underdogs? The time is here, the time is now! The Star Trek™: Lower Decks “Buffer Time” card game is now available for pre-order! Be the first ensigns in your duty shift to grab a copy, and then find new, creative ways to shirk your responsibilities and play it over and over again.
“Buffer Time” is a push-your-luck card game for 2–6 players working collaboratively to complete tasks before the senior officers get clued into what you’re doing and shut you down. Can you complete enough Assignments and Side Projects to win, or will Captain Freeman and her senior staff catch you in the act of idleness and make you go scrub holodeck filters and re-index Phylosian replicator recipes?
The game consists of a total of 98 cards split among Assignments, Side Projects, Shift, and Special Ability cards. Suitable for ages 14 and up, an average game should take approximately 20–40 minutes, barring any interference from rampaging Pakleds or the surging of strange energies.
