Since Modiphius was founded in 2013 we have been helping smaller studios get into distribution and retail, advising on Kickstarters and product launches as well as supporting them with exposure to a larger audience. The likes of Mindjammer Press (Mindjammer), Free League Publishing (Tales From the Loop, Coriolis, Mutant Year Zero) and Helmgast (KULT) were some of the first partners and recent partnerships have helped launch the retail edition of Rangers of Shadowdeep, Odyssey of the Dragonlords, Black Void and the Liminal RPG.
Modiphius is now announcing an official partnership programme called VIAMODIPHIUS. Partners products will be sold through the Modiphius webstore and our retail distribution channels and be supported with social media and PR. We can support North American publishers looking for just European distribution, or smaller developers looking to get their first foothold in the global market.
Please review the following guidelines to ensure that your submission meets our requirements for consideration.
Near-Finished Status: We only accept submissions for games that are in a near-finished status. This means that the game should be fully playtested, with all rules and mechanics finalised, and artwork and design elements in their near-final state. We may provide the final layout as required, and additionally we will handle printing, publishing, and distribution services, so your submission should be ready for production.
Complete Submission: Your submission should include all necessary components for a complete game. This includes a rulebook or gamebook, a design for all game components (such as cards, tokens, dice, etc.), and any other materials that are required to play the game. Please ensure that all components are organised, clearly labelled, and included in your submission package.
Originality: We are looking for original game concepts and ideas. Your submission should not infringe on any existing copyrights, trademarks, or intellectual property rights of others. It should be your original work, and you should have full rights and permissions to use any artwork, design elements, or other content included in your game.
Quality and Professionalism: We strive to produce high-quality games that are visually appealing, well-written, and professionally designed. Your submission should meet these standards, with clear and concise rules, engaging gameplay, and well-designed components. If necessary, we can provide assistance and feedback on this, but your submission should be as polished as possible.
Submission Format: Your submission should be in a digital format that is easily accessible and reviewable. This may include a PDF file, a digital prototype on a gaming platform such as Tabletop Simulator, or other digital formats if applicable. Please note that this should provide the reviewers with the ability to experience the full game.
Contact Information: Please provide your full name, contact information (including email address and phone number), and a brief bio or introduction about yourself as the creator of the game. This will help us get to know you and your game better.
Rights and Royalties: If your game is selected for publication, we will work out the details of the rights and royalties with you in a separate agreement. Please be prepared to discuss these terms if your submission is accepted.
